Become a ‘Friend’ and help to continue the work of the Jersey Eisteddfod

The Eisteddfod is a charity affiliated to the British Federation of Festivals, itself a registered charity, and has been a part of Jersey’s cultural life for over 100 years, the first Festival being held in 1908.  Every year thousands take part. The Performing Arts Festival includes sections on French, Jèrriais, Modern Languages, Music, English Speech & Drama and Dance, whilst The Creative Arts and Crafts Festival includes sections on Needlework, Photography, Handwriting and Calligraphy, Primary and Secondary Schools Arts and Crafts, Adult Arts and Crafts and Floral Art.   Competitors come from all walks of life and can range in age from children under five to adults over ninety. The Eisteddfod is run by over 100 dedicated volunteer helpers who gladly give of their time.
