Welcome to the Photography section of the Eisteddfod! We are thrilled to invite photographers of all ages and skill levels to display their work. Especially those entering for the first time. This is a wonderful opportunity to print up your favourite photographs and see them celebrated in our annual island exhibition. Please take a moment to review the syllabus to understand the guidelines for presenting your work.
Since 2009, we have proudly included a “Young Photographer” category to support the growing interest among students. In addition to our open category, we also offer an 18-and-under class specifically for “creative images”—a category previously known as “manipulated images,” renamed to better reflect the innovative submissions we seek.
For more details on creative images, please refer to the syllabus. The final addition was a “Mobile Phone Class” for adults in 2016, to take account of the interest in taking photographs with the ever-increasing quality of the cameras in those devices.
