Jersey Entries to be handed in at the Town Hall, St Helier on Friday 3rd Febuary 2023 from 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm
Non Jersey entries should be sent by post to Lesley Curgenven, New Ways, Park Estate, La Route des Genets, St Brelade, JE3 8EQ to arrive before 3 February 2022
The photography section attracts and encourages entries from a wide range of age and experience.
A “Young Photographer” class was introduced in 2009 to accommodate the growing number of student entries.
Those who are entering the Photography Section of the Jersey Eisteddfod for the first time are eligible for one of the Best Newcomer Awards.
In addition to the open class, there is also an 18 years and under class for what used to be called “manipulated images”, now re-named “creative images” to better reflect the type of entry expected in these classes. Please see the syllabus for the description of a creative image.
The final addition was a “Mobile Phone and Tablet Class” for adults in 2016, to take account of the interest in taking photographs with the ever-increasing quality of the cameras in those devices.
